DIRECT DRAW BEER SYSTEMS (0-5 feet)

 

PROBLEM:       Beer is pouring foamy at the tap.

 

POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Cooler temperature is too warm 
Kinked beer line
Wrong size beer line
Applied pressure too high
Applied pressure too low
Bad tap coupler washer
Faucet washers bad
Dirty system

System designed improperly

 

REMEDY
Adjust temperature to 34º to 38º
Have
HAPPY TAP replace the bad line
Have
HAPPY TAP replace the line
Adjust regulator to appropriate pressure
Adjust regulator to appropriate pressure
Replace coupler washer
Replace faucet washer
Call HAPPY TAP to clean them
Call HAPPY TAP to correctly balance the system



PROBLEM:         No beer is coming out of faucet or it is dribbling.

 

POSSIBLE SOLUTION
CO² tank is empty
Regulator valve is turned off
Manifold valve is turned off
Keg is empty   
Check ball in coupler stuck

 

REMEDY
Replace empty tank
Turn on at base of regulator (up & down)
Turn manifold valve on
Replace keg
Remove coupler from keg and free check ball



FORCED AIR SYSTEM (5-25 feet)

 

PROBLEM:                  Beer is pouring foamy at the tap.

 

POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Blower fan is not working        
Blower fan flow is obstructed

Cooler temperature is too warm 
Kinked beer line
Wrong size beer line

Applied pressure too high
Applied pressure too low
Bad tap coupler washer

Faucet washers bad     
Dirty system
System designed improperly




REMEDY
Plug in, fix or replace
Fix obstruction

Adjust cooler temperature to 34º to 38º
Have HAPPY TAP replace the bad line
Have HAPPY TAP replace the line
Adjust regulator to appropriate pressure
Adjust regulator to appropriate pressure
Replace coupler washer
Replace faucet washer
Call HAPPY TAP to clean them
Call HAPPY TAP to correctly balance the system

 

PROBLEM:                  No beer is coming out of faucet or it is dribbling.


POSSIBLE SOLUTION
CO² tank is empty
Regulator valve is turned off
Manifold valve is turned off
Keg is empty   
Check ball in coupler stuck


REMEDY
Replace empty tank
Turn on at base of regulator (up & down)
Turn manifold valve on
Replace keg
Remove coupler from keg and free check ball

 

GLYCOL/LONG DRAW SYTEM (25 feet and up)

 

PROBLEM:                  Beer is pouring foamy at the tap.

 

POSSIBLE SOLUTION       
Glycol bath too cold
Glycol bath too warm  
Cooler temperature is too warm
Improper gas for system          
Glycol pump not working
Glycol pump flow obstructed
Applied pressure too high
Applied pressure too low
Bad tap coupler washer
Faucet washers bad
Dirty system    
System designed improperly

 

REMEDY
Adjust glycol chiller to 28º to 32º
Adjust glycol chiller to 28º to 32º
Adjust cooler temperature to 34º to 38º
Change to mixed gas or a blender
Have HAPPY TAP replace pump
Have HAPPY TAP remove obstruction
Adjust regulator to appropriate pressure
Adjust regulator to appropriate pressure
Replace coupler washer
Replace faucet washer
Call HAPPY TAP to clean them
Call HAPPY TAP to correctly balance the system

 

PROBLEM:                  No beer is coming out of faucet or it is dribbling.

 

POSSIBLE SOLUTION
CO² tank is empty
Regulator valve is turned off
Manifold valve is turned off      
Keg is empty   
Check ball in coupler stuck

Lines may be frozen


REMEDY
Replace empty tank

Turn on at base of regulator (up & down)
Turn manifold valve on
Replace keg
Remove coupler from keg and free check ball

Temporarily unplug glycol chilling unit
